What is a Ventless Fireplace?

Ventless or “Vent-Free" fireplaces are an efficient and economical way to add more heat to your home without the costs associated with a typical fireplace installation. They don't require a venting system of any kind, allowing all the heat to stay inside your space. Without venting or a chimney to worry about, Ventless fireplaces are often more affordable than Direct Vent and Masonry fireplaces. You’ll also get a lot more flexibility with installation. Ventless fireplaces can be installed in non-traditional locations, like the center of a room, bedroom, bathroom, and more.

Most Ventless fireplaces are equipped with Oxygen Depletion Sensors to maintain good air quality and automatic shut-off features to increase safety.

Can a Ventless fireplace make my space more humid? How can I prevent this?

Since Ventless fireplaces draw in air from the room and emit heat and vapor back into your space, you may see an increase in humidity. To help prevent extra moisture, crack a window near your fireplace when you’re using it. Additionally, keep your fireplace clean and look out for signs of mold or mildew growth.
