Fire rock mortar
The stuff was different than any mortar we had ever used. I am sure it does a great job but don't get it on anything you don't want black!

Good, sticky stuff. One bag was open on delivery and some had spilled out. I had enough to finish the fireplace, though.

product is s good product, but 1 block shipped on inside row was broke in half. had to been loaded on pallet that way. Top had a crack across it but not bad enough that we could,t use it, but was,t sure until we placed it into position. both had to be sipped that way as there was not damage to wrapping of product. these flaws were noted with carrier in case we could not use them. product should be inspected better before shipping.
