Fireplace grate

We have not been able to make it through a season without burning through a grate until we bought this grate. So far so good!! We burn our fire night and day and with the sub zero temperatures that we have had recently, we have been burning it very hot. It is holding up quite nicely. I love the clearance it has, the shape of it and the strength of the steel. So far so good.

Great grate. A little heavy, if you have to remove it to clear the ashes, but very, very sturdy. It's different from my last one, so it took some time to figure out how to best start the fire. Easy to start, once one has it down, and very easy to keep it going. More than satisfied. It should last as long as I do...

Fireplace Grate

It came well packed. Taking it out of the box, I noticed how well it was constructed. Compared to the grate that came with my fireplace, I know it will last a lifetime. My original grate anchored in the fireplace with metal tabs, this one cannot use the tabs, however, due to the heaviness of the woodland grate it is not a problem. It stays exactly where you place it. I am well satisfied with this product.

well made. actually should have been larger for my zero clearance fireplace. and should have deeper style. can't load as much wood as my 2 year old cast iron grate. but hope it will survive the high temperature of the coals. said it was lifetime guarantee. will see how it performs this winter.

The grate has worked perfectly. It drafts better and has started and burned much easier. It’s a great product!

Heavy duty fireplace grate

I purchased a six bar lifetime fireplace grate. I have not had a fire using this grate so I cannot comment on how many and what size embers fall through the bars. Upon inspection, this grate seems to be very heavy duty unlike what you may find at your local box stores. The negative that I discovered was the grate did not sit evenly on the fireplace floor. It wobbles back and forth because the four legs are not level with each other. I had to do some grinding to make it level. Will see how it holds up to fires soon.
