Firewood Rack

I'm giving your firewood rack a score of 5, but you didn't specify whether "5" was the top or the bottom! My husband and I finally had a break in the weather where we could get out, put the rack together, and fire up the chainsaw! The rack looks great with all of our freshley cut wood on it. For us, it was just the right size. We use very little wood inside, but do use it outside in our chiminea. So a 4-foot rack was exactly the size we needed.

I am very pleased with my woodrack. My wood stove is in the middle of a large kitchen and living room area where I have my wood rack placed four feet back from the stove. It looks very rugged, rustic, elegant and very safe piled with wood four feet high. I made a small cedar box with a shelf for kindling and a shelf for newspapers that fits perfectly on the rack with wood piled all around it. The rack and stove rests on a strong 5/8" plywood, double cement boad and ceramic tile floor that is 8' x 12' level with the rest of the floor. I could not ask for a more suited wood rack for this room. I heat my house totally by wood. I plan to buy your black covers for my sixteen foot long piles of wood stored outside for this next winter. Thanks for a solid product. I am sure it will last as long as I will and well beyond. Winston

Perfect Size

This wood rack fits exactly in a spot on my patio, not far from the fire pit. It's extremely well made and was easy to assemble. The cover is also an attractive addition to the entire package.

4' Woodhaven Firewood Rack

We received the firewood rack less than 2 months ago. It was simple to assemble. The materials are very durable and very sturdy. The rack is fantastic so far. The rack and cover designs are great. The velcro on the front portion of the cover, to allow for quick access to the wood, is very clever. The partial cover keeps the upper portion of the rack dry while allowing air to circulate to the lower portion of the rack. The added loops on the four corners of the cover also allow it to be secured to the base of the rack in case of high winds. This is a quality product.

Gotta say your log rack was everything said about it. It was easy to asemble (and I am left handed), rugged and sits flat. You don't really know what to expect when you order something on the internet, but when I went to lift the carton, I said this is for real and it is!

Great Product for the Outback

I have lived in Australia for the last 15 years. While there are many things I love about Australia, finding firewood racks is not one of them. After we got hit by a category five cyclone I ended up with a lifetime supply of firewood (after a lot of work with the chainsaw). The only racks I could get locally were made in China junk. I tried one, about three days after loading it collapsed. So I went with a name I knew I could trust. The racks are here, well made. They were very easy to put together and are now filled up with mainly eucalyptus wood (very heavy). They are solid and I will be ordering more. The shipping was a bit dear, but you get that living in the bush.

Totally beat my expectation. The tightness of all connections made this rack very sturdy that makes me believe it will last for years. The tarp that fits over the bars has heavy duty bands that come through the holes that when pulled over bar it keeps the tarp above your wood pile so your not fighting the tarp as well as the wood. Nice touch!!

Fantastic product

Made in the USA! What an unbelievable company. Customer service picked up almost instantly and walked me through my options. Very sturdy and high quality materials. Easy to put together [even for someone as bad with tools as I am]. Few bolts 7/16” requiring 2 wrenches and about 20 minutes. I packed a ton of wood on there and it’s held up fantastic over the last few weeks. Everyone compliments it. Very nice looking piece. Especially the camo cover. My big concern was it would be wobbly on an unstable surface [ie decorative rocks around a fire pit].... rest assured it’s very stable once you get some wood on it. We bought the rack to store firewood for our fire pit. It is really heavy duty easy to assemble And leaves a small footprint. It comes with a heavy duty cover that covers the top part of the firewood so underneath air can circulate around it. Very well designed and excellent product! One thing I would like to see is adjustable legs so you can place it on an unlevel surface.

Missing and then not.

I love the log rack, it is exactly for what we were looking. Sturdy and looks great where we have placed it. Originally the first rack disappeared, delivered but not to us. I notified WoodlandDirect and FedEx and the hunt began, however WoodlandDirect sent me a second rack incase the original didn't show up. Several days later our neighbor stopped by and had the original rack. I notified WoodlandDirect and they sent me a return label and when the second one came I sent it back. No questions asked simple as possible. I would definitely buy from WoodlandDirect again and highly recommend them.

Easy to Set Up and Very Sturdy

Two of us put the wood holder together in about 20 minutes. (It was nice that an extra screw and nut were included in case we needed it.) It is sturdy and well made. Great Choice

My husband and I have owned prior wood racks but this one from Woodland Direct is truly a step above. It was easy to assemble -- we purchased two. The cover fits nicely. We have learned that with the kiln dried wood we bought that while it is good to keep the top few levels dry it is best not to have a full cover so that air can circulate through the wood. We are very happy with our purchases.

Sturdy and well made

This rack is sturdy and seems made well. Cover fits tight and snug. Screw holes lined up, welds are clean, and everything fit together as promised. As noted elsewhere, they included one extra nut and bolt set, a nice touch. On the other hand, the package also included a couple of small, stamped metal wrenches, suggesting that no additional tools were need, which was kind of a joke. The locking nuts have a nylon insert and take quite a bit of torque. I used a socket wrench and a crescent wrench, and even with those needed to work it pretty hard. Note that the rack has no "feet" -- the metal rests on whatever you set it up on. I purchased the four base plates and I'm happy with those. My rack rests on granite paving blocks, so the bases keep the stone and metal separate and help even out for the rough stone surface.

4' Woodhaven Firewood Rack is ACES!

This is our 4th Woodhaven product and our second time purchasing the 4' racks. We love the the fact that this is a QUALITY product made here in the United States. Even better its the precision used during manufacturing that gets transmitted during assembly. Our original racks (3 of the 4') are doing great but we are now having an abundance of firewood. What better way to store that seasoned wood than on a Woodhaven 4' rack. Most of our cold weather heating comes courtesy of a VT wood stove fireplace insert and the 4' rack lets us keep a ready supply of fresh logs nearby.

Well made product

This is a super well made product. Well worth the purchase so that we can have a stack of wood near the back door on our patio. Our only disappointment is that we thought the extra rack support base pieces are made of plastic and we hoped that they would be made of metal. We didn't read the product description closely. Over time, plastic breaks down, so we don't expect that they will last long. Otherwise, this is a solid and American made product.
