From their start as a labor-intensive sweet treat for the French elite, to the mass-produced confections we know today, marshmallows have long been a part of the campfire experience. Since the late 1800s, people have been gathering with their friends to roast marshmallows over the campfire and eat to their heart's delight.
In 1927, the Girl Scouts published the original recipe for s’mores, which featured the classic ingredients we know today – “crisp graham crackers, caramelized marshmallows, and softly melted chocolate.” The recipe was titled “Some More” since it’s nearly impossible to eat just one.
A century later, Some More has become S'mores and marshmallow roasts have become ubiquitous with the campfire experience. To celebrate this beloved fireside treat, we've created three new S’mores recipes for you to enjoy the next time you’re gathered around the campfire!
