Was not sure if this would really work, but it is GREAT! We have a natural fireplace in our basement, and the heat does not radiate much beyond 2 or 3 feet. By adding this back, you can now sit 6 feet away and still feel the heat. The other nice thing is that it holds the heat so even after the fire has gone out you are still getting heat. This also made the fireplace look nice and neat, it sure beats the blacked fire brick.

Outstanding customer service

The fireback I received was damaged with a 3-inch peice missing from the top edge. I called customer service and talked to the wonderfull Ms. H about my damaged fireback out of the box. She was very courteous and herlpful as I described the problem in detail. She told me she would look for a solution. Two days later I received a brand new fireback undamaged. Fantastic customer service. I definitively recommend.

iron sun fireback

The 'sun' fireback I ordered was delivered within a couple of days~very heavy piece of iron~it looks great in my fireplace and really radiates quite a bit of extra heat, especially if the fire has been going for awhile~I 'm really happy with my purchase~ Thanks!

Solid, heavy, good looking fireback. It is a quality product that is bomb proof and will last a life time. The reason I gave it a three, is for it's efficiency abilities. All the hoopla about increased heat efficiency is over blown, but it will protect the brick in the back of the fireplace for sure. Get a fireback if you want to protect your brick and or add an element of beauty to your fireplace. Don't get a fireback if you believe it will make your fireplace that much more efficient. Maybe the silver stainless steel ones perform better, but they are not as good looking as the iron firebacks. Just my 2 cents.
