fire grate

Quality is great but i guess i failed to measure the right depth, its not deep enough for my insert fireplace and can only get 1 log in this great..my loss i guess, cost to much to ship it back..

22" Stronghold Iron Zero Clearance Fireplace Grate

Fits my zero clearance wood fireplace perfectly. High enough to scoop out the ashes underneath, and high enough sides to hold the logs in place. This is one heavy duty grate (unlike those wimpy ones you get at the big box stores and have to replace every year). This will be the last grate I'll ever need to buy!

Shopping at Woodlanddirect was the best. The advice I received from James on 1/7/13 when I called in was excellent and enabled me to order the proper grate. After the call, I re-measured my zero clearance fireplace then placed the order for this 22 X 18 - 7 bar grate. I'm glad to be able to get correct grates for zero clearance fireplace as grates I've had have either bent in month or two from the heat or been incorrect size. The quality and fit of this grate is the best I've ever had and the customer service I received initially allowed me to measure correctly and order the proper grate. Great product! I'll definitely use your company again and recommend to my friends as topic comes up.

Great Product & Service

We live in the south and yet build a fire every day that is cool enough. After hard use our grate was disinegrating. I needed one that was quite small yet durable. The one we got from Woodland was excellent...heavy duty and well designed. Online ordering was easy and the product was exactly as described.

New Grate Works Great

After watching my original grate slowly bend and sag to the bottom of the firebox, I searched for a replacement. Several searches kept pointing me to Woodland Direct and this grate. It is a perfect replacement and will outlast the original many times over. The shipping time was fast and communication was excellent. I will use these folks again when I need fireplace related items.

Product did not hold up well. I did not make it through one heating season before the product needed replacement...the grates disintegrated to the point I needed to enact my warranty and have a replacement sent. I burn about 8 cords a season. I would not recommend.

lifetime grate

This is the best grate I have used however, it is not a lifetime grate as advertised. I get two years out of these grates. Somewhat disappointed but have not found a better choice.

Great purchase - you will never find this in a typical big box or small hardware store. Many fireplace specialty stores do not carry something this durable. We love it.

I use the fireplace grate in a built in wood stove. It is constructed in heavy gage iron bars that look like they will last much longer than the flimsy one I had previously. It fits in my woodbox nicely, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a long lasting heavy duty grate.

Solid Grate

This is one very solid grate. Needed a grate to replace a burned out one. Bought this zero clearance grate as I have a pre fab fireplace. It fit PERFECTLY!! Plenty of room under it to remove ashes. It was shipped very fast and it is heavy, about 25 pounds. Made in USA! This grate will last a very long time.

The purchased grate is extra heavy duty but was too tall for my fireplace insert type stove. I had to cut 1.5" off the legs and 2" off the front tines so I could get a normal size piece of wood in the stove. Woodland may want to offer a lower height version for stoves like mine.

Heavy Duty

This is a sturdy product. We had been using one from Lowes and it essentially melted and deformed under the heat. This thing is super sturdy.

Perfect replacement

I replaced my factory grate after 10 years of wear and tear with this model. It is larger than the factory grate and fit fine. I measured the fireplace to insure it would fit. So far so good. Thank you for a great product.

Excellent choice for shallow zero clearance fireplaces

Using in a Majestic BR36 prefab zero-clearance fireplace. Heavy duty 3/4 solid steel, sturdy, good welds, and most importantly, it’s the proper depth for shallow prefab units. The spacing on the bars is ideal as you get enougb fall through for a decent coal bed, but not wide gaps like the OEM grates that allow too much wood to fall through wrecking the core of the fire. Also, it curls enough in the back to keep the logs from rolling into the rear firebrick panel, minimizing the common cracking the panels develop on these type prefab fireplace units. Would definitely buy again, but this likely won’t need to be replaced for many many years, if ever.

10x4 Fire Wood Rack

The Rack was very easy to put together and all holes matched up and pieces fit snug together. After putting the Rack together it was very sturdy and stood very level on the floor. I thought it was very thoughtful that y’all put in an extra bolt and nut of each size. One is always dropping a nut and can’t find where it landed or threads on a bolt messed up. Thanks for a nice sturdy good looking Rack and the Cover top it off nicely.
