I was going to drive 20 miles from my house to look at grates when I found Woodland Direct online. Honestly I think it look me less time and effort and even money to get this perfect grill, It arrived so quickly and in perfect shape. Heavy Duty

This grate looks great & very tough. I wanted an American made grate & this is it, hard to find! A little more $, very little, but American steel can't be beat. Last year was 4 cords of wood, this year? Time will tell but, got a guarantee from a longtime company, Happy!

Looks like good quality thick steel construction. I didn't like the fact that the middle feet were welded off center. Seemed liked a mistake in manufacturing to me.

Wow, this arrived fast. It is all the info said it was and the help from the website and phone call was great. I hope it lasts longer than our last two iron ones did. So far so good!

Fully Met Expectations

The screen arrived in perfect condition, and looks good in sunlight as well as dim light in front of a fire. It's heavy and stands just fine all by itself. It's 48" across from tip-to-tip fully opened; it's a bit narrower if it's only opened to the point of an even curve. If I had a do-over, I'd buy it again.

The grate that came with our house 15 years ago split in half. We do a couple dozen fires a year in the fall so not heavy use. I wanted to replace our broken grate with something I wouldn't have to replace again. The Grate I bought from Woodland looks and feels like it will not need replacing. The very back of my fireplace was 24 inches and the very front was about 36 inches. This one fit it almost perfectly. It looks great and fits perfectly. I couldn't be more happy with it.

So far, so good! This grate is super heavy duty, but time will tell if it is indeed as heavy duty as it seems. We burned through another grate in less than 3 years. This one really seems to be high quality and it's very, very heavy. So far, so good!

Have had 3 fires so far and love it. Larger size than what I had provides for bigger fires and grate does keep the wood funneling down. Sturdy and good looking.

Leg in wrong place

Grate came quickly and in good condition. Heavy duty and the angle fits our fireplace perfectly. Only thing is the middle front leg is welded on about a third of the way across - not in the middle of the grate. Looks very odd. Debated sending back.

Great Update to our fireplace

You don't realize how poorly your old grate is performing until you get a new one! I did a lot of research and we are very happy with the Woodland brand. Fires last longer, we don't have to clean out the ashes as often (every two days before we received the new grate) due to the 4.5" height. Believe this will be the last grate we own!

It is very sturdy and attractive. It sits up higher than most grates and I think it gives it a regal look. Specifications were spot on as well as descriptions.

Leg issue

The legs that are supposed to be in the center are way off. I know this grate is hand made, but you'd think they could space all the legs somewhat evenly. maybe it just my love of symmetry, but its strange to look at. I'd return it for a replacement, but who wants to do that when it weighs so much. Other than the legs, its great.

I worked in the metal fabricating industry for 33 years, and I can attest that this grate is well constructed and durable. I Don't believe that I could wear it out in my lifetime. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a well made product for their fireplace.

A real woodburner's grate. Heavy & Heavy duty. Offers good ventilation and log holding. This is one to buy if you're not looking for a cheap-o.

Highly recommend utilizing the website’s measurement /sizing guide as it resulted in purchasing the exact size for my wood burning fireplace. You need to allow a few inches between the fireplace dimensions and the rack. Product is solid and well made. You get what you pay for here. Will not be disappointed. The Company kept me informed from order to delivery, which was quick.
