The Solaira XL Slim 1500W Infrared Patio Heater - Black is engineered as a high output, high efficiency architectural infrared heater. The extruded aluminum design and large parabolic reflector provides an attractive, high performance, weatherproof heat source. This patio heater can be installed indoors or out for both mid and low-clearance installations. This unit is also certified for 'wet' environments, so there is no worry of it being damaged. The finish is epoxy powdered coat, making it scratch resistant.
The Solaira XL Slim 1500W Infrared Patio Heater - Black is ideal for use in outdoor commercial and residential areas such as gazebos, awnings, open air terraces in restaurants, pubs, clubs and boat decks. This unit emits instant infrared heat and takes no time to heat up.
This heater is also compatible with Solaira’s SMaRT Control Systems. The SMaRT Controls are engineered to reduce energy consumption and energy costs while providing a simple and easy to use control interface. The Solaira SMaRT 34A Controller comes equipped with a temperature sensor which monitors temperature and allows heaters to power on when the temperature drops below a pre-determined set point. Solaira Variable Controls are equipped with a user defined auto-shutoff timer that can be set between 5-60mins which prevents heaters from being left on for extended periods, reducing unwarranted energy. Nice IR Heater
So far, so good. Purchased 2 of these for my backyard patio. It's a covered patio, and I put two at right angles to each other which covers a pretty good area. They provide some nice warmth. Not super hot, but definitely takes the chill off, which is what I was looking for. The heaters appear to be good quality, solid construction, and work as advertised. I also enjoyed working with Woodland Direct.
Nice small outdoor heaters
We had a pergola built in our backyard (8' x 12' x 9') and we purchased 2 of these to put up. I'd say they work well, unless there is much of a breeze, then it is harder to keep the heat on us. They are doing what we wanted them to do, so we are happy. They are slim, so they do not distract the eye. One small thing, when they are on, they definitely throw off an orange color!
