just right
the medium actually were smaller than I expected but work well combined with the larger size lava rocks. i mixed them in my gas log fireplace and they radiate even more heat and enhance the flames making a very realistic looking ....almost could pass for wood...fireplace.

glass color was as quoted, shipment was fast, and price was great. will do more business at a later date.
Lava Rock
The basic lava rock that comes with the gas logs is very lame. The 3rd party lava rock was excellent. I would advise recommending the lava rock from American Glass in addition to what the log company sends. The 5lbs is not enough.
Sere Fia Gas Fire Pit
We have nothing but positive things to say about this fire pit and the service we received from Woodland Direct. As a steel unit, we were concerned that it would get hot to the touch, but the hollow nature of the construction prevents any heat build-up. And immediately upon delivery the unit started to weather and change color before ours eyes. The Blue Krystal Fire Rocks are gorgeous and maintain their color during and after use. We have an indoor linear gas fireplace with fire rocks that don't compare. We are thinking of changing them for this style. We are extremely happy with our purchase.

Fire gems
The Firepit comes with the white gems stones, which are nice, but it is really so rich with the amber gems. I think only Woodland Direct offers alternative colors. Kudos to Woodland Direct!
