Rug

Not terribly attractive and makes you itchy if you sit on it while tending the fire. Seems to be protecting our carpet.

Fiberglass carpet

I am using the half circle rug on my patio. It resists the dirt and provides a safe path for my 16-year-old Italian Greyhound who tends to slip on the patio when it is wet. It cleans up with a hose and looks like it did the day I first put it down.

Performs well, right size for us and order fulfillment and delivery was spot on. Color was not quote what we expected but within range of acceptable. Any fallen ashes however permeates fibers and do not sweep out. A damp mop and vacuum will get the rug clean again,

Have been using this rug for 3 months now and it looks good, is easy to vacuum debris off of it and is holding up well.

I like the rug , however it is ruined because my husband unknowingly used a mild cleaning solution on a spot. although it is not your fault, I can only give a 3 because unfortunately it should not be this hard to clean safely.

Oval Hearth Rug

This rug saved our home. A fire in our kitchen caused by an ember from the wood stove was mitigated because we had our hearth rug. While the fire spontaneously combusted under the rug, the rug never melted. Other than smoke damage, damage to kitchen was only $650. Needless to say, we have purchased our second hearth rug. More than just good looking, it's a necessity.

Review for half round hearth rug

I like the color as well as the size of this rug. It fits perfectly in front of the wood stove insert in our fireplace. What I'm not happy about is way the the binding was sewn on. The binding on the top of the rug has a folded edge that is haphazardly secured in many places. In some places the fold is secured and inothers it flaps open. I didn't notice this until weeks after we received it. This fiberglass rug is certainly saving the carpet underneath it but it's a bit pricey for the poor quality of how the binding was sewn on.

Half round fiberglass hearth rug

I am generally happy with the rug; it was put in place after we found a cinder burn on the pine board flooring and burn spots on the polypropylene rug beginning about 5" away from the hearth. The rug covers all these spots and should prevent future ones. The only problem is that backing is slippery and the rug moves when stepped on or the rocking chair sits on it, so it must be readjusted. It needs a non-skid backing and it will be perfect.

We purchased this for our daughter for Christmas. Seems to be doing its job to keep embers off their carpet.

Beautiful Rug

I purchased this rug for our living room floor under our wood burning fireplace. I can't speak to how it works yet because we haven't had a fire in yet but it is really a very nice fireproof rug. I can't rate something a 5 without knowing how well it really works but astetically it is great.
