FAQs

Q: How do you create the vents needed for a natural gas fireplace with this model? A: Vents can be cut into the housing once assembled where and when necessary.
Q: Does this kit include everything you need to build the pit? Stone, frame, lava rocks etc.? A: This kit is only the pre-engineered cement pieces to form the fire pit. This kit does not include mortar, stone, lava rocks or any other additional pieces.
Q: What sort of footing is required? A: Here is what is listed in the manufacturer's installation instructions:
Site Preparation: Generally, a concrete pad 4 – 6 inches thick with footings as dictated by local building codes, is the best surface on which to erect any fire feature. With proper ground preparation, such as the gravel and sand layering under a paver patio, a Fire Rock Fire Ring may be installed without a concrete foundation. If it is your intention to install this product on a combustible surface (wooden deck), take extra precautions to insulate the surface under and surrounding the Fire Ring so that neither heat transference nor sparks present a hazard.
Q: Can you burn wood in this unit or do you need to add a fire block? A: Yes, you can burn wood in this fire pit, you do not need to add any fire brick to this fire pit.
