Forged iron log carrier and holder

Very well made and stylish.

Really like style and suede wood carrier. Only complain is that the rack comes apart easily as two sides just slide together and there is nothing to hold them together.

The stand was not straight. We ended up buying another set made by Pilgrim which I would recommend.

Not the best choice

The metal is not real brushed nickel as it appears in the picture. It is a painted metal. The paint was chipped on ours when we got it out of the box. It was not one solid piece. So, it did not sit level on the floor. I have to say that I would highly recommend purchasing from this company. The customer service is incredible; Sarah worked with me to make sure I was satisfied.

log rack

I was very dissapointed with this item. Although it is described as a "forged iron" log rack, when I received it, it was very lightweight, and appears to be made of tubular steel, not of hand-wrought iron. I was surprised to receive the rack in 4 pieces. You have to join the sides together by inserting the ends into two hollow metal tubes which form the base. The whole structure is so light and flimsy that it feels unstable when you take the leather sling on and off. And when I move it to sweep the hearth, the pieces start to come apart. The ornamental ends of the framework are pinched in places to simulate the effect of actual hand-hammered iron. It looked like the real thing online, but looks really cheap in person. This construction would be acceptable for a $40-$50 product, but for $140, I expect a better quality item. At any price, the product description is misleading.

The leather carrier itself is fine but the stand is cheaply made & falls apart easily. Would not recommend the set. If I wasn't so lazy, I would return it.

This is not worth the money. It falls apart constantly. What makes anyone engineer something so poor....Of course when you put weight of the wood on either side of a pole that has not support to hold it together, it will fall apart....Pitiful...Don't waste your money

It serves the basic purpose, and it looks like the photo, but it is misleading to say explicitly that it is a forged iron product. The upper portion is forged, and the lower portion is made of hollow tube metal which the ends of the forged iron slip into. Cheaper to make and cheaper to ship. Not as advertised. The leather carrier looks nice, but I was expecting it to be larger, be able to carry and hold more wood. We were replacing a canvas carrier with this; now we're still using because it holds more. At the price, expected full wrought iron product, and a practical scale. Overpriced for what it is. Disappointing.

Leather Wood holder/carrier

I bought this for our Grandson and new Grand daughter for their New little home....they absolutely love it...took care of Christmas and house warming gift all in one....would buy it all over again!
