Rockwood E-Z Access Spark Screen

The spark screen was delivered quickly, is solidly made, and was easy to assemble. Unfortunately, it rusted literally within days of being placed outside over our firepit. I wouldn't have expected a product designed for outdoor use to rust at all, much less within days of its receipt. We therefore disappointed with the product.

Great protection

This is nice to have when there are small children around. It keeps the larger sparks contained. Easy access for adding more wood to the fire pit is a great feature.

Really cheaply made for the price. Rusted in a 3 week period and the hinge is rarely works properly.

I purchased your fire pit screen two months ago with 60 ackers of woods 20 feet away from the pit. I now can enjoy my back yard without worry of sparks igniting the woods.

It's not the product we had the issue with it's the company. We were sent a screen with the wrong hardware. When it arrived the boxed was caved in to the point we thought the screen might be dammaged. We had to make adjustments to make so the screen would slide properly.

Firepit 'clamshell' screen

This screen was the perfect solution to contain the raging bonfires my husband builds in our new firepit. The screen is very sturdy, good looking, and seriously limits sparks flying out into the air. It is easy to tend the fire with the clamshell type door. It has made firepit evenings much more enjoyable!

Works terrific, wish it was rust proof and could stay on the pit. I protect it from rain/snow. Expensive considering the materials used but it functions perfectly for me.

Love the design, but the protective black powder finish was missing from handles and parts of the screen. Haven't used it yet. Needs better rust protection, such as a stainless steel option.

The screen is well made...Be aware that the screening material will rust and eventually break down. This is our second screen and I have sprayed it with a high heat Rustoelm product. Time will tell if it improves the longevity. That being said, I will continue to purchase the product when/if it needs to be replaced.

So far OK

I just assembled the screen and have not had a chance to try it out, but it appears to be well made. It was packed very well and went together pretty easily. I am only giving 4 flames because: (1) there is a spot where he screen is a little dinged up; (2) the instructions were a little off - saying there were 3 holes when there are 4; and (3) there are no washers provided and some of the holes were big enough that the bolt head partially went through the hole. I added my own washers to fix that, but I think they should be provided.
