The construction is great. Should last many years. The instructions suggest using the threaded holes on the corners that push a strap against the flue tile. Unfortunately the threads in the hole on one corner were stripped. I was able to use the lower hole that allows the bolt to push directly against the flue tile.

Single Flue Draft King

The unit arrived as advertised. It looked even better than advertised. It slipped on to my Chimney Top perfectly, and tightened down using a wrench and socket. It might be nice, if on the instruction sheet, they gave the socket size. Other than that, it was a very good purchase and highly recommended.

Draft King Single Flue Cap

Product arrived fast packed well and solidly constructed. Slipped onto my rectangular flue tile with rounded corners like a glove, and was easily locked into place with bolts provided. It doesn't get any better than this. Oh yeah, great price.

Excellent chimney top!

This fit perfectly and looks great on our chimney. We bought mostly to keep the birds an darned squirrels out as well as leaves and debris. West Texas winds can shove a ton of debris down a chimney and this has helped wonders!! Quick delivery too. Will definitely buy from the company again!

Sales Rep was Great. He understood what my problem was and got me the perfect size for my tile flue. It took me about 15 minutes to get the ladder, get on the roof and secure it. The very next day 25-35 MPH winds and heavy rain, no problems. It stayed in position and no water down the chimney. Shipping was right on time also.

Chimney Cap

The legs were shipped at the specified time, but the actual cap wasn't shipped till five days later. Not a big deal, though. Once the cap arrived it was easy to put together. Once on the roof, I needed to work with the legs a little to ensure a snug fit. Overall the cap looks good and I hope it lasts for many years.

My chimney top is an odd size. The cover was a bit larger than it needed to be. I purchased longer adjustment screws to make it work.

HY-C Draft King Galvanized Steel Square Chimney Cap fits perfectly

I ordered the HY-C Draft King Galvanized Steel Square Chimney Cap for my new outdoor fireplace, which terminates in a 16 x 16 ceramic flue liner. Since the flue liner is at the top of a 23-foot chimney I did not want to have to make multiple trips up and down the ladder to install the chimney cap/spark arrester. No problems! It fit perfectly the first time up the ladder. Easy to secure with just a nut driver and it fit perfectly. Since installation the chimney cap has withstood several high-wind storms without any problems. I'm well pleased, and would buy one again.

Nice, Sturdy Looking Cap

The cap appears to be well engineered & built. Installation was easy & quick (for an older guy). It does a good job of keeping precip & critters out. What more could I ask for? Oh yeah, it looks great on the house! Wife says that it gives the house a hat. Customer service was awesome in helping me to get the right one the first time. Thanks!
