I would like to know the diameter of the bottom connection.

the cap mesh was bent and needed straightening. the tube bottom is split an not round. it is the same size as my pipe and will not fit. no use care or instructions I would not recommend to a friend. for over a hundred dollars I feel ripped off.
I am not pleased with the product I received or the response from customer support. The produce is a 6" stainless steel cap made by Copperfield. I ordered the unit to fit a specific pipe size and it arrived with the piece of pipe that connects to my stainless steel pipe not completed. Customer support says it is intended to be squeezed and slipped down into my existing pipe. This is not what is indicated on the website. Also the hem on the tailpiece of this unit looks like it was done with a hammer. I would not recommend this product.

Well made, fit good. Packaging could be better. It came dented. I had to fix it but the cap is worth the price.
