Very displeased
Sadly this product does not live up to its hype. Installed it last weekend and will be removing it this weekend. The concept of a ventless gas fireplace seemed crazy to me but a took a shot as it had all approvals. I was correct ventless gas is crazy as it has a un-burnt after smell which is unacceptable. Additionally it was represented to me that this unit would be hard wired with a battery back up. Not true, no hard wiring, runs on four AAA batteries only for spark. Very dissatisfied.

Grand Canyon gas logs
These logs are awesome. When I researched ventless- I became concerned that it would not look real because in the clean manner the flames must burn. But these look great. The glowing embers in the front real make it pop. And with my 42” firebox- these logs fill it up perfectly. They are definitely not the dinky cheap log sets you may find at a big box retailer. And thank you to Woodland Direct tech support for guiding me with my selection!

Good product and good support
The Grand Canyon Red Oak Ventless set works great, and the quality of the logs is exceptional! The remote control was broken, and tech support was very helpful getting a replacement unit. They answer their phones quickly and couldn't be nicer to work with. I highly recommend Woodland Direct.

Replacing propane with natural gas
Haven’t installed them yet but they look great. Trying to use up the propane in the tank for the old logs. I’ll write another review after they are in. Can’t wait!

Excellent Realism
We chose the 30" ventless system, with remotely controlled, automatic, intermittent electronic ignition. We're super-happy with the quality of the logs themselves. The burner assembly is decent, and relatively quiet compared to other sets we have in other homes (Napoleon, Monessen). The glowing fibers that come with this set (which include platinum fibers, too) are super-cool and realistic. We like the adjustability of the valving which allows the flame to be turned up or down via the remote. The only downside to this set as it comes to you stock is that the remote system does not have timed or thermostatic controls (unlike the much less expensive Napoleon set, which came with a great digital remote system)... Which is kind of a bummer at about $2K. I believe the remote is upgradable, so I guess what you're paying for is the quality of the logs and burner system, and that it's domestically made.

Couldn't be happier with the Grand Canyon 24" Propne Ventless Logs. Incredibly easy to install and they work as advertised. We live in an 1801 stone house in Bucks County Pennsylvania. Rather than deal with existing chimney issues, with the potential for a chimney fire, we opted to go with gas logs for ambiance and added BTUs and supplemental heat. The hardest part of the installation was drilling through 18" of exterior stone wall and 16" of stone and firebrick. They are well worth the money. Perfect solution!
