This is a beautiful gas log set! My fireplace guy installed it easily. It is authentic looking and it generates heat. Very pleased.

Gas Firelogs

The set is beautiful and authentic looking. The 3 burner unit gives a real nice flame height for large looking fire. The logs look so real you cannot tell they aren’t. I purchased the remote start which works beautifully with 1 button start. I would have given a 5 star review but I never received the heat shield for the gas valve and I was totally misrepresented on the delivery time. I placed my order 12/13/17 and was told it was in stock and would ship within 2 to 3 days. This was a Christmas present. It never shipped until 12/21/17 and didn’t receive until 12/28/17. Very disappointed in Woodlands communication. Also I called direct to manufacturer about the missing heat shield day of delivery as of 1/9/18 still nothing. Bad service.

Everything I ordered was excellent quality and reasonable in price.

Product arrived with a major missing part. First plumber we called to install had no idea what he was doing. Had to call a second plumber. He helped us order the missing part, cleaned all soot off the logs. Got unit installed. The WoodlandDirect technician was fabulous in helping us through this. But overall we would not recommend d this product to anyone else.

Great choice for realistic look!

After my usual extensive research and several phone calls to the sales folks at Woodland direct, I ordered the Grand Canyon AZ WO set with the 3 burner and modulating milivolt with remote control. It took several discussions to be sure I got the correct ignition system that I wanted since the web site was not clear on the specific nuances available for this particular set. The folks at Woodland were very knowledgeable, helpful and extremely patient with my questions. The entire set arrived within five days of placing the order. Relatively simple installation was performed by my contractor and I had successfully converted my wood burning fireplace to these beautiful gas logs within a couple of hours including running new propane lines to the firebox. No doubt I made the right choice and I’m glad I did my homework first. Woodland Direct was great through the entire process. I’m a totally satisfied customer.

At long last

I endlessly researched converting wood to gas fireplaces and looked at hours of videos. Very glad I choose this product, 24 inch with three vents. When your plumber comes to install the gas line, be sure they bring black paint, as the pipe they'll put into back of the fireplace will probably be silver and you want it to fade to black. Also, the gas extension tube that Woodland Direct provides is also silver, so we had that painted black as well. When you first turn it on, you'll smell the new fire heating up different parts of the cradle and logs and their is a little bit of a chemical smell as it burns, but that goes away. What the pictures and video don't show is that your logs will blacken where the flames touch the logs, but that's more authentic anyway. Definitely buy the lava rock, maybe two bags, you don't have to buy a lot of embers, and the embers need to be on the sides of the holes where the flames come out, not directly on them. Overall an excellent purchase and this is probably the most realistic looking gas fire place I've seen. Get the three burner model, not the two! 5 Flame Rating!

Amazing and realistic Gas log set

We are SO happy with our log set. It was super easy to install and it looks amazingly realistic. I was blown away by how many logs were included. You can really set this set up to look SO many different ways. I did a lot of shopping around on log sets before purchasing this one and felt like I was very particular in wanting it to look like a real fire. I would 100% recommend this set to my family and friends. Woodland Direct was very easy to work with, very knowledgeable customer service as well.

It works well!

I Have a vented fireplace and had a gas log set that needed to be lit each time the gas was turned on and did not throw off much heat. It also looked pretty ropy. The Grand Canyon logs are much better: dense and well shaped. They throw off much more heat. And, the electronic ignition setup works fairly well, too. No more matches. Just the push of a button and we have ignition! The flame is supposed to be “variable” which means the remote has an “on/high” button and a “low” button in addition to the “off button.” But, the low button sets the flame so low that it goes out, which is a no-no of course. So, basically we have on and off, not variable. Also, the instructions for setting up the pilot and electronic ignition with the log set were terrible., including abstract line-drawings where photos should have been used. Woodland obviously pairs different log sets with different ignition units without considering how a particular unit fits on a particular log set. They should do an instruction set for each combo, but I guess they’re not that into customer service. Two trips to the hardware store and a couple hours of sweat required to get everything to work properly.

Great, stylish insert

We toyed a lot between glass, stones and these logs and are very happy with the choice! They're stylish and clean without that fake wood look. The flame does leave a black mark in certain places but honestly that's fine and kind of adds to the rustic look. One thing I'll note is we bought the smallest one whcih fills our whole fireplace but they didn't send enough lava rocks. Luckily we could easily get this from our local hardware store for $10 but just a note. Otherwise we're very happy!

Customer service

I am pleased with the product. I have ordered from Woodland Direct before. However I am submitting this review because of their customer service. One of the logs was broken in shipment. I sent Woodland Direct an e-mail around 2pm one day. The next morning I had a response requesting a picture. I sent a picture and was advised a new set of logs would be shipped. I received the logs in three or four days. No hassle and quick response. Much appreciated.

Mostly satisfied

This set of gas logs and 3 burner frame looks pretty good in our fireplace. The burner is very loud and doesn’t get quieter as things heat up, and not much quieter if you reduce the gas. The hissing noise it makes is distracting. The log set up doesn’t quite look like it does in the promo photos, and less flames come out of the lower front burner in front of the big log than we had hoped for, but you can’t reposition. And the gas starter is kind of in an awkward location.

High quality gas logs

The gas log set looks great. I’m sure it will be quite nice as we get into winter and I am running my fireplace for aesthetics and heat. Grand Canyon should offer a prompt when the remote system is ordered to automatically include one of the little log enclosures for the remote receiving unit to be hidden in. I ordered a separate one. It is known that a remote unit has that little black box which must sit in the fire box enclosure.

Logs are made well just doesn't look as good as my old set.

I was disappointed that it didn't look as good in person than on web site. It doesn't look as real either. Also my order was all messed up. Logs weren't shipped. Had to wait on parts.

Great gas log set

I love the product—how realistic the logs look and the way the burner spreads the fire around to look so realistic. Great set if you are wanting something that appears most like a wood burning fireplace.

Beautiful

We chose this log set after much study, comparison and thought. It is perfect. the white logs are perfect in our fireplace which is surrounded by white brick. We love it.
