We are very pleased with this rug. Several hot embers have popped out of the fireplace on the rug with absolutely no damage, saving our carpet from damage also. The rug came out of the package and lay flat on the carpet with no buckles or creases so we are also pleased with the rug's apperance as well as its performance.

I have a round metal fireplace and was actually looking for a rectangular hearth rug that would have had a semi-circle cut out of it so as to fit around its circular base. Finding none, I settled on the only fiber glass rug you had available. Could I suggest that you add to your line of products one such as I have described or the possibility of one being custom made to fit a fireplace such as mine? Thanks for the consideration.

A year ago we replaced our living room carpet and did not want any hot embers from the fireplaces burning it. We decided on the fiberglass rug for its fireproof qualities. While we have not tested its resistance to fire, we have used the rug for the past week with about dailiy fires in the fireplace. The weave of the fiberglass is tight with very little texture. While it will probably protect the carpet, it does not add any style to the room. It is almost like a half circle of a rubber mat. If you are looking for some texture with the fireproofness, you may want to consider the wool hearth rug.

So far so GREAT, and most important she (the wife) LOVES it, Would most definitely highly recommend for both looks and funcion, Modified ours due to it moving around slightly on the burber carpet we have it laying on, but a few small strips of velcro (J-hook side) stuck to the back fixed that.. Final word, AWESOME !!!

I wasn't totally sure about ordering this from the internet. I picked up a cheap one from Loew's last year and while it protected my underneath rug, the thing got holes burnt into it when a hot ember hit it. I had to throw it out b/c it looked really tacky by the end of winter. So far this rug stands up to its description. It's a perfect size, it's thin but sturdy, and did not get a hole in it when a hot ember hit it. I've only been using it for about a month but very pleased. If it holds up the whole winter it is certainly worth the price.

Purchased 2 half round rugs to protect new hardwood floors on both sides of a through and through wood burning fireplace. Order arrived in a timely manner and was exactly as ordered. Rugs are as shown in catalogue and work as advertised.

Very hard to keep clean. Vaccuum cleaner seems to grind ashes into the rug. I'm always cleaning it. But it does save my new carpet from burns.

Just what I needed!

Just what I needed, just what I ordered and just what I received. This rug fits perfect in our living room and ties in with everything. I don't recommend putting your bare skin on it alot at first as the fiberglass makes your skin itchy. Our dog "Bubba" gets the most out of it, laying on it basking in the heat from our stove. This is a top grade rug perfect to protect your floor.

I give your hearth rug a poor mark because it moves around like waxpaper. I have yet to find a product that will keep it in place. Poor design!

This rug is great! We just recently got new flooring in our living area and the rug is perfect for protecting the wood. There have been a few embers that have landed on this rug and the resistance to burn is amazing! I would recommend this product to anyone who has a fireplace.

It works well. The larger size covers ample area. I Wish it were "thicker" and was available with designs. I was most concerned about it being fireproof/spark-proof and so far so good on this most important point. The color is a lighter brown than I imagined, but it looks fine.

Great for not melting or getting burn marks. This is my 2nd one. It does tend to fade especially when you do a spot clean. Will purchase again.
