Basa Fia Hidden Tank Fire Pit
I purchased this pit back in December of 2013. This review comes late, as i didn't use it all winter. First & foremost, Woodland Direct was excellent to deal with. The Basa Fia pit itself is exactly as portrayed in the photos - clean lines, stylish & the core ten steel only took about 4 months to completely oxidize. the only negative comes from the perfomance of the pit itself. ive owned firepits before and nothing compares to sitting outside enjoying a cocktail around a roaring fire. unfortunately the size of the flame from this unit is lacking. with the valve wide open the flames emitted only cleared the stones by a couple inches. the unit comes preinstalled with a size 50 orifice which determines how much propane gets to the burner ring. i had to swap mine out for a larger one and still am not content with the flame height. im not comfortable with going larger for fear of unburned gas creating some secondary ignition issues. if this unit threw an 8" flame id would rate it a 10 out of 10. unfortunately flame only hits 5" max
Basa Fire Pit
The fire pit is great. The gas hose was broken through the transportation process. Woodland was willing to pay for the new one I bought. They simply asked for the receipt. I was forgetful and didn't send it to them. A few days later I found a brand new gas line in the mail from them. Great company. The pit is durable and beautiful. The flame doesn't go very high. That's not a complaint, nor do I think there was any misrepesentation. I thought it would be more 'bonfire' like, as opposed to shooting jets straight up. Since I've never had a fire pit before, I am surprised to find I've used it a dozen times and the gas tank still hasn't run out. Good pit. I'm sure I'll use it for a lifetime.
