i used the soot stick over the years,,,,they do work,,,i bank fireplace with coal at night,,,,makes soot like crazy if you don't keep an eye on it,,,,stick helps keep soot down,,,,i never had to clean my chimney,,,not sure if that is good or bad,,,,thanks for letting me review product
