72" Fiberglass Rod - 3/8" PT
Great quality-made rod for the price. I looked at numerous dealers for a professional type cleaning rod, and this was the best one I could find. A little flexible, but stiff enough for connecting numerous rods together. For my chimney, I had 6 rods connected together. I used mine on 2-story colonial, with 9 foot ceilings and a 9/12 pitch roof. So the top of the chimney is up there, and the roof is steep enough that you don't want to go on the roof unless absolutely necessary. I had no problems using this and the "Professional Series Round Poly-Pro Lite Chimney Brush" for cleaning from inside the house. This was my first time cleaning my chimney, and for the price, the rods and brushes will pay themselves off the first time you use them, rather than paying someone else to do it.

Product is a good quality and was delivered promptly.
extension poles
worked well from roof down but to stiff to bend to use from fireplace up to avoid removing chimney cap
3/8 fiberglass rods
My chimney is 30' tall so the cleaning rods I use must be sturdy. This rods are very sturdy that won't buckle or double over under tough conditions. These rods are very well made and have held up well.
Chimney cleaning rods
The rods were exactly what I expected and worked very well. They were high quality rods.

Received the product promptly. Worked great. I would order from WoodlandDirect again without hesitation.
Extension rod 3/8inch
I should have got a 72 inch extension at 1/4 inch dia, but needed this length, not available in 1/4. Need to fix a coupling with pipe fittings to join the two.
3/8 Fiberglass rods
Worked very well. stong yet flexible

Rod for Chimney Brush
I accidentally ordered a chimney brush last year that did not fit my current rod. This one is perfect. Now I can use the smaller brush on the narrow portion of my chimney. The price was affordable, and it arrived quickly.
6 ' x 3/8 npt
My new 5" brush got stuck in flue and I had to clamp rod with a visegrip and twist it out. I twisted the end right off the rod. I replaced it with 3/8" pipe which I should have purchased instead of the fiberglass. I tried putting the end back on and drilling a pin hole to hold it but when the drill got into the glass, the bit just melted.
3/8" push rods
I have a long chimney requiring 4 72" push rods. I was pleased that while the rods would flex as I pushed/pulled the 12" square brush down the chimney, I was never concerned about the rods breaking. On the downside however, one of the 4 rods apparently was not glued to the metal connecting joint. Fortunately, the joint failed just as I put it into the top of the chimney and I could retrieve the rod and the others already in the chimney. Had the joint failed deep in the chimney I would have had a serious problem retrieving the brush. There is no visible sign that the metal joints on the rods have been glued to the rods. To fix the joint problem, I simply applied JB Weld and glued the joint solidly to the part and had no other issue.

Haven't used this product as yet and will not until season is over
3/8 rods
Very heavy duty, good for straight runs, too stiff for 45's.
chimney brush
The brush work Very well the poles fit good and didn't thread out while I used it.

6ft Push Rods
Cleaned my ss liner in about 10-15 minutes. I only burn very dry wood so this task was a piece of cake. The rods are nice and thick and the crimps at the ends look good. They didn't seem to bend well when I was playing with them, but they did easily take my two bends in the chimney. Total plunge of 32 feet with two bends.
Originally ordered 4 but needed additional ones. Tried to find something at a local retailer that would work with rods ordered, could not. Ordered more and very glad I did. This product does not compare to the product in the local retailer!

I believe in spending good money on good tools. Having said that I got exactly what I wanted and the plus, American made.
Don"t care what the manufacture says the rods don't thread into each other properly;;the male end should go into the female end all the way;;i would say the female ends not taped correctly;;i'll fix on my own with a tap!!!
Woked Well - Tight Threads
I bought a couple 6 foot and 4 foot fiberglass rods to go with a new 10 inch poly brush. Delivery was great. Everything worked great!. My only concern is the threads on all the rods don't mate very well. By that I mean you can get them started but they only go on a few turns before getting very tight. There is still plenty of thread left for them to go on further. I ended up using a drop of oil and really cranked on them to get them on enough so they wouldn't come apart when I used them. All the ends are 3/8 NPT so that is not an issue. Perhaps just a quality issue with the threads being made. Other wise. the system worked great. The flexible rods are very valuable when using more than one together.
Pipe threads 3/8 pt
The rods seem quality enough but not as flexble as hoped. However the 3/8 pipe threads were cut to shallow. luckily I have those cutting dies in my work drawer and could chase the threads as they would only go om about two turns and bind. I would have had to send them back otherwise.

Made well. Goes through bend in chimney with no problem
Review
They are very good. Nice and sturdy, thread together easily.
Rod connection threads
Poorly machined from aluminum. Only got 2 turns before seizing. I would prefer steel.
Nice stiff rod
Even though my brush has a 1/4” fitting, I opted for this 3/8” rod and the adapter to use it with my brush. I’m glad I bought the heavier rod. It is much stiffer, allowing me to push through any tight spots.

Robust system
Good solid stuff. The threads were properly cut on mine - I noted some complaints on other reviews. They are tapered so shouldn't be expected to screw all the way home, but you certainly want at least 3 full rotations of engagement and should have some pliers on hand to nake sure you get that much and can take them apart. A dab of anti-seize might be a good idea if you have a tight set. If cleaning a metal stovepipe or liner, you may need a lever and a pony clamp to pry up on the rod to reverse the brush and retrieve it unless your chimney or stove has a clear opening that you can push the brush into before reracting it. The bristles on my 6" round brush are so stiff that they act like a ratchet, and my woodburner has some hardware across the bottom of the stack that bocks the brush from getting clear into the firebox. A pony clamp on the rod and a wooden lever earing on the top of the double-wall chimney (Selkirk - great product!) sufficed to overpower the bristles and reverse the brush. One pass down and back up was sufficient to clean my liner. This was the first cleaning after 5 years of burning well-seasoned wood (lots of it cut up lumber salvaged from demo for a total 1500 sqft rebuild of our ground floor - seasoned 60+ years indoors). Morso stove. straight insulated SS pipe, good wood burned with adequate air = minmal deposits in the liner.
