48" Fiberglass Rod - 3/8" PT

These rods work great! Sure, they cost a bit more than the smaller diameter equivalent, but when your pushing up 26' of chimney pipe you want the extra strength and rigidity to get the job done. I would recommend these rods to anyone who is in need of rods for long-term use.

Good choice

Perfectly happy with these. They went together well and easily, and are sturdy in use. Glad I opted for the heavier ones. Confident that I'm set now and won't be paying chimney sweeps anymore.

chiminey rods 3/8

I used these to clean my metal wood stove chimney. I am glade I bought the larger diameter becase the brush was tight in the chimney. The rods screwed together well and were well made. Nice to see a good product made in the US.

Chimney brush rods

Worked perfectly. I had no previous experience.

3/4" rods

These 3/4" rods ard so much better and sturdy that the 14/" rods. They don't bend and wabble as much and the only way to go.

very well made probably could have gotten away with 1/4" . little difficult to make the bend going from inside to clean chimney. but worked fine

48" Fiberglass Rod - 3/8" PT

These are a great product - I ordered 5 of them so that I would have enough length for my 2 story house. they go together easy and are very flexible once all 5 are together. I wish they were a bit more rigid for the bottom of the chimney. I would recommend this product.

Pretty Good

I ordered 5 of the 'professional' 48" Fiberglass rods to cover my 22' flue. They arrived in perfect condition. Pros: Heavy-duty, less flexible and stronger. Easier to use Cons: I had trouble screwing the ends together completely. I feared they might come apart during use.

Broke on first use

One of the threaded end pieces detached from the rod; leaving the chimney brush 12' down the chimney...

I have a 24 ft long chimney with two off-sets. I was concerned the rods woud not negotiate the bends, however they did so perfectly. Thanks!

The rods are well designed to handle the task.Threads(male,NPT) need to to be protected in shipping. A handle to screw on to the ends of the rods, would be be a "great" help in the actual use of the rods.

Fiberglass Rods

The 3/8" rods seem large at first but are very flexible yet strong enough to take bending pressure... glad I went with the larger rods...

Rods good, Threads need work.

I purposely bought the 1/4 over 3/8 for the strength. The rods are sturdy enough but have a flaw. The threads do not allow the rods to thread all the way on. Most of the connections were only able to screw about half way on. Threads have burs and indentations causing the problem. I will probably have to do some filing to fix them.

48" FG PRO POLES

Bought the poles and pro nylon brush as a set. Both are well made and will last a lifetime for a homeowner. Looks good enough for daily use as a pro.

Rods

I had a problem with the delivery of the rods ordered. the box was damaged, and the rods were no where to be found the only item in the box was the order slip. I then proceeded to call CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was to speak to Tiffany, she assured me that she would find out what she could do. I then received an e-mail that our problem was resolved. the next day I received our rods for the chimney brush. I will recommend your company to any one that needed a chimney brush/rods. I also would highly recommend your company's CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE VERY NICE,POLITE TIFFANY...THANK YOU

flue cleaning

We recently tore off our living room and built a larger and higher one. The wood burning stove was moved to the other side and the chimney was raised 8' more. My old trusty cleaning rod refused to go up past the previous height, due to being too flexible. So I ordered (after calling to make sure the 3/8" was stiff enough) a new set to reach the top. I put the cleanout at 5.5' from the ground to let me swab out the creosote easily and more frequently. Now it goes to the top (18') without any problem.

3/8' fiberglass rods

Worked good for me. Glad I got 3/8" rather than 1/4" as recommended. When I put the third rod on there was a fare amount of flex. more of course when I put the 4th one on. 1/4" rods would have done the job. would recomend

3/8 pipe threads

as with the 72" rods the threads were cut to shallow to allow a positive retention between rods. The threads had to be chases with a dye. They would only screw in two turns and were hard to get apart.

Probably Better Than It Has To Be.

I sprung for the 3/8" over the 1/4" and I am glad I did. These US made rods have plenty of flex but they were still plenty ridged. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because I had to wire wheel the male ends to eliminate a burr, that prevented more than a half turn of thread engagement with the next pole. I would happily buy again!

Fiberglass rod

I have ordered four 48 inch rods and Two of them do not want to screw together. The threads do not seem to be cut right

poor quality control, difficulty getting rods together, had to keep switching out to get rods to fit.
