I hate buying junk, I dislike buying things not made in the USA just about as much. If you want value, workmanship and satisfaction with a purchase than but this grate. You will not be disappointed. It uses substantially less wood, burns hotter and slower. If this thing could fell trees and split wood than who would need to get married! Buy it!

Ordered a new grate with a lifetime warranty. I burn 3 cords every season and previous grates only last 2 seasons. Had my first fire last night and I'm happy with the ember screen which keeps a nice air space underneath. Ordering was easy, free shipping, received in 2 days.

Ok, this will sound really weird, but ... this grate has, quite literally, changed our burning experience. For YEARS, we have burned on a small grate, which inevitably fell apart before the end of the season. I explained what was happening to the salesperson and he suggested this grate. This one fills the majority of our firebox, stands comfortably above our gas ignitor and is the BOMB DIGGETY!!! Our fire are spectacular now! There is plenty of air flow around and below the logs. We have had - hands down - the Best fires that we have ever had. My husband was annoyed that I spent a little extra - until we received and started using this grate. He LOVES IT!!! No regrets. BUY IT!!! Toatally worth it - plus, a LIFETIME GUARANTEE! Seriously. How can you go wrong?!

Great Grate

This is an excellent grate. It is easy to keep a good fire all evening and in the morning the logs have completely burned. Totally pleased.

Shipping accomadation

In addition to this fireplace grate I ordered a gas sarter pipe immediately after my initial phone call to see if it could be shipped with the grate with no shipping charge. Unfortunately the grate order had already been processed, however your representative checked with his supervisor and they agreed to send me the starter pipe without the $10.00 shipping charge. Delivered by FedX in a ripped box bad packing. No damage to the rack. Welds could be better but it will not fall apart. I am very pleased with my grate and think it will be around for many fires in my outdoor kitchen.

Very High Quality Great for Large Fireplace

I have a large out door fireplace that I like to get really hot and this great does a phenomenal job. The ember catch is really amazing. First time I've ever used a fire grate with one of those and it really makes a huge difference. The build quality tells me this grate will last me years, if not decades. Great product.

The Right Size

The grate came as promised. Super heavy duty. Welded construction. Holds all the logs I could expect to put in my fireplace. This thing is a brute. Just what I needed. It will be in there long after I am gone. On time delivery, and well packaged. I don’t ever expect to need another but if I do, I would buy it here.

Amazing Fireplace Grate

I wasted 20 years using cheap, incorrectly sized fireplace grates. I used the sizing suggestions on the website and purchased this 35-inch Stronghold Ember Lifetime Fireplace Grate. I needed a taller grate for better draw in our large firebox. I was hesitant to get a grate with the expanded metal mesh, but have found it to be superior! Wood burns longer and more completely. We relied on it last winter, when the power was out for four days, during an ice storm. Love it!
