Outdoor Hex Grate Review

This has proven to be perfect for our outdoor file pit. It let's us take advantage of the round surface and enjoy the fire from all sides.The hight is right for good airflow from beneath. Spacing between the grate bars is just right. Construction is solid. We look forward to years of outdoor fires on this grate.

Thanks for offering a great product at a reasonable price! Only thing was the box was quite mutilated on arrival. Wrought iron will survive almost anything!

30" Hex Shape Outdoor Grate

This product is excellent. It's durable and holds the wood well during the fire. Also always me to move the logs (while burning) without moving or sliding. Grate stays in place while add new logs to burn.

Hex shape Grate

We haven't used it yet but it will work out great for us. It should have been packed better. The box was destroyed by the time we received it. It was just thrown in a bigger box and nothing was packed around it. Not that you could break it but it almost wasn't in a box.

outdoor hex-fire grate

So far I love my fire grate. I built a large 3' by 3' fire pit into my patio with cinderblock and faced it with river rocks...because of the depth of my pit I had to elevate the grate with firebrick underneath but it sits beautifully inside. I covered the bricks with large lava rocks and decorative pebbles. The grate came fully assembled and without any defects-it's a really heavy and well-built piece that should stand up for years to weather and fires. I haven't seen anything of this quality in any of the local stores, and would definitley recommend it to anyone looking for a heavy duty outdoor fire-pit grate.

30 Inch Hex Shape Grate

Grate arrived on time as promised. 30 inch hex shape was perfect fit for 36 inch round fire pit. I had 3 inches clearance which made for perfect air circulation. I have already enjoyed several large fires with my family and friends. Very sturdy construction should last for years. I could not be more satisfied...

Fantastic Grate

We purchase this grate for our outdoor fire pit. Our pit is roughly 42 inches in diameter so we needed a big grate to fill the center. We want to burn big logs. The grate is very solid, fits great and is appealing to the eye. Rugged and solid best describes this item. Definitely a great buy and looking at the item I can tell will last for years even in the elements outdoors.

The fire pit grate was at first glance a nice solution for my outside fire pit, but after one fire and being outside for 2 months, it has turned to 75% rust color. Not sure why the rep suggested this one for an outside application? The packaging was not done well either, I am not overwhelmed with the product.

Great item!

This fits perfectly in our custom fire pit and allows us to enjoy it more. The grate raises the firewood up and allows air circulation as well as putting the heat closer to to surface doe us to feel the warmth.

Very well made. Heavy duty metal, welds and accurate measurements. Fits extremely well in a 36" round fire pit. No warping or noticeable burn-off of finish after very hot fires. A good buy. Would recommend to a friend.
