Grate

A very heavy duty fireplace grate. Works great. I should have gotten a little bigger model to hold bigger logs. Arrived qucikly and I'm sure it will last a very long time.

after searching and actually buying several grates over the years from local stores i searchd the internet for HELP. i found woodland and was overwhelmed by the freindly and helpful rep. that assisted me, he was so helpful and found me the exact size and gauge grate i needed. when i got it was shocked by the weight and quality. i have always said that customer service is the best selling product of any company and this company certainly rates much higher than 5. thank you so much and a special thank you to the the rep. that answered my call and helped me find the quality grate that i had looked for for years !

A built to last fireplace grate...

Been buying grates from big box stores, after a season's burn the cast iron would deteriorate quickly from heat/cool cycles & small gauge material used. Got fed-up replacing grates. Found this grate at WD & glad I did. Built like a Sherman tank w/ .75" square steel material vs .25" on BB grates. This grate will certainly be the last I ever buy or need, it's heavy (~25#) and solid. Add great Customer Service (ordered Mon - recieved Fri) to quality products at decent prices make doing business with Woodland Direct a slam dunk. ;^)

So far it seems fine. I burn some pretty hot fires and the cast ones don't hold up. I just wish it were a bit broader as my fireplace is rather large.

After dealing with a local fireplace store here, waiting over two months for a grate to come in, run around, phone calls not being returned, and a US having problems to get our refund for a product we still hadn't seen let alone received. We got online and looked up grates. Found what we needed with Woodland. Called late Saturday afternoon. The gentleman was courteous and took my order without a problem. Sturdy but poor packaging

Sturdy, heavy, good quality feel but with very poor packaging. Nothing but a carton box and the item created several large holes and the box was severely damaged ...

Not Deep Enough

The grate is strong enough, tall enough, wide enough but not deep enough to hold more than 2 - 4" diameter logs stacked on top of each other. If they made it deeper, front to back dimension, I could put enough logs on to make it through the night. Other than that I like it just fine. Warmingly, Patrick.

19" Grate

Super strong and heavy. Carefully measured opening (cast iron insert) before ordering. Fits perfectly. It is, However, a bit too tall. Otherwise, an excellent product.

Very tall and too containing.

This is quite tall, so there is a lot of air flow underneath. The steel is rounded up, so you can not stack the wood onto the sides of the grate or fill the wood stove . It took a very long time to get the room up to a good temperature. The quality seems very good. It is pretty heavy.

The grate is too small and the bars along the edge don't go up high enough to prevent wood from rolling off and out as the fire burns down. This product is actually too small for the smallest fire you could ever have, so it should not even be offered. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Life-time fireplace grate

This is heavy duty, much better than what you can get at the local big hardware stores. It does do the job of holding up logs off the fireplace foor, allowing air to get under and have a quicker starting fire. This is the third one I have purchased in 5 years. They burn up in about one winter for us. We have a wood burning in-home fireplace that we use to primarily to heat our first floor, burning every day in winter in Ohio. First the grate will bend, then the rails will become smaller, then eventually break into two pieces. So I do questio. The product name Lifetime grate....it lasts the lifetime of the grate yes, but not my lifetime. The warranty says that if there is a defect they will replace it Using it in your fireplace is not a defect, so...but another one. Enjoy, it is nice.

California Burn’n

Great Grate!

First season to use my new grate, but it fits the fireplace much better than the previous grate. Fires have been easier to start, but wood seems to burn faster(could be the well seasoned wood!). I would buy again.
